The longest desert race in the United States, the Best In The Desert Vegas to Reno, launches this week and Texas based off-road race team Mills Motorsports is looking for a repeat of their 2016 win in class 6100. Last year’s two day race format saw Nick Mills and his #6178 Geiser Brothers truck jump out front early on. Mills with the help of Billy Wilson was able to set a hard pace on day one and carry that momentum through to the finish in Reno at the end of day two. In 2017 Vegas to Reno is a single day race which means teams will battle from start to finish for more than 550 miles to see who rolls across the finish line first. Nick Mills and co-driver James Jeleniowski will have their work cut out for them on the notorious race course as they drew 23rd starting position, but Nick and the Mills Motorsports team are up to the task with a fresh truck and a team that has now been doing battle together for over 5 years.
In addition to 6100, Mills Motorsports will also be contesting the unlimited Trick Truck class with their ever popular #81 Viper V-10 powered Geiser Brothers Trick Truck piloted by Taylor Mills and co-driver Josh Huff. Taylor is no stranger to success as a former SCORE International champion and Baja 1000 class champion. With a fresh truck and never say die attitude Taylor is looking to put the big blue truck on the podium for Vegas to Reno. With more than 850 hp Taylor Mills should be a force to be reckoned with for the rest of the 2017 season.
Mills Motorsports would like to thank Baja Designs, BFGoodrich Tires, Method Race Wheels, Exotic Engine, Fox Shox, Jamar Brakes, Torco Race Fuels, SDHQ, FST Filters, Rathole Drilling, the Mills Motorsports team, and all our fans and friends and family for your support.
